Queen of Apostles provides a range of specialist activities for our students to enjoy:
Instrumental/Strings Music Program
All children from Year 1 to
6 can take part in the Instrumental/Strings Music program. An
instrumental/strings music teacher gives small group lessons during school
time. Instruments can be provided by parents or rented from a local company.
Children in this program will become members of our school band and
ensemble. Payment for lessons is made directly to the school via
school fee accounts.
Choir
We have two choirs at Queen of Apostles, our Year 2 Choir and a Senior Choir. Our music teacher works with these groups each week with opportunities to perform at both school and competitions.
Sporting Opportunities
We have a specialist Physical Education Teacher who works with each class weekly. Additionally, each class has a block of swimming lessons in Term 4. Students are given the opportunity to compete in interschool athletics, cross country and swimming. Children in Years 4, 5, and 6 participate in competitions for Netball and Touch Football, AFL and Rugby League. Our program aims to develop in the children an enthusiasm for physical activity and a love of sport, which will lead to a healthy and active lifestyle.
